The first classmate I did a critique on was Christy Jiang. I commented on her Point of View shot, and her High Angle Shot. Her High Angle shot was used to make her subject look vulnerable, as if she was looking for something, and is very frightened. It was very well executed, and so was her Point of View shot. Her Point of View shot made the viewer feel as if they were spinning around with their friend. It made you feel happy and excited.
The second classmate I did a critique on was Sofia Ali. I commented on her Extreme Close-Up and her Over The Shoulder shot. Her Extreme Close-Up shot was used to make the viewers see the look of fear and emphasize the eyes of the subject. The Over The Shoulder Shot was used to make the viewer feel as if they are actually seeing the conversation from over the shoulder. It also feels more intimate than if it was from the side.
