ೃ⁀➷MOOD BOARD*ೃ༄

Hello Everyone !! The movie I am doing a mood board for is "To All The Boys I Loved Before".

The mood board depicts the overall mood of the movie as each picture has something to do with either a specific scene in the movie or an aesthetic of the movie. The first picture, the letters, represents the main reason this movie occured. Lara Jeans sister, Kitty, sends Lara Jean's love letters to her past crushes. The next picture, of the hot tub resembles the scene with Lara Jean and Peter where they go on a ski trip, confess their feelings, share a romantic moment. The next picture I will talk about is the book picture. Lara Jean is a huge fan of books, especially romance books. She desires to experience a romantic relationship like one in the books she reads. This is also why she does not want to do Public Display of Affection with Peter at first, because they are fake dating at first. On the topic of romantic affection,k the first time Lara Jean and Peter share a real romantic moment is on the schools lacrosse field, which is another picture in this mood board.

Those photos I just described represent specific scenes in the movie. Here are some pictures that represent more of the aesthetic of the movie. The picture of the blue bike resembles the bike Lara Jean rides. One of the most popular scenes that Lara Jean rides her bike to is the cafe. The cafe is another picture in this moodboard, and is a key setting in the movie. This is also very sentimental to Lara Jean as this is the place where her mom and her dad would hangout, and also where her dad proposed to her mom. The picture of the song "I Like Me Better" represents the song that was playing in the ski trip scenes. This song is the most popular song in the soundtrack, and whenever people hear this song, they get reminded of this movie.  The ski trip is also resembled in another picture in this moodboard. The movie "Sixteen Candles" is shown in this mood board as it is one of the first movies Lara Jean and Peter watch together.

A description of my sound story is that it shows how someone feels and their environment when taking a test.

The editing software I used was capcut, using this software was a very easy experience. The app helps you layer the sounds and move them easily. The way I got the sound of the door was with Capcut. In Capcut, there is a button in which u can insert a sound effect. In there, I searched up on the app "door opening sound effect" and added it to the beginning of my video. Then, to record the footsteps, I used my shoes. I had one on each hand, and stomped them onto the floor repeatedly at a pace that one walks at. To get the sound of a crowd of students footsteps, I then layered it on capcut. I duplicated it on capcut, then moved the audio to be under each other, so the sound could be simultaneous. At first, when the sounds were originally layered, the sound was too loud. So I lowered the volume from 100 to 80 on some of them and got the sound I wanted. Then for the murmurs, I recorded my friends in class talking. With the sound of them murmuring plus the background talking of other classmates in my class, I could get the sound of crowd murmurs. I layered the crowd sounds and lowered the volume. Then, for the bell ringing, I also used the sound from Capcut. I searched up on capcut "Bell ringing sound" and added it to the video. I also made the sound of the bell fade out. For the teachers footsteps, I used the same sound as the crowd footsteps, except I did not layer it. In doing so, the sound of the footsteps is clear. For the papers shuffling, I used paper towels as seen on the video. I dragged the paper towels onto each other to get the paper noise.  For the "time starts now" and "times up" I used my own voice, and said the quotes. For the pencil scratching, I used the crayon as seen in the video. I layered that sound with the papers shuffling to get the sound. For the heavy breathing, I just breathed right into the phone. I then duplicated it around 5 times to fill the time.

Overall, editing this was pretty easy, but very stressful. I enjoyed doing this project!
